Dear County Councillors,
I am writing to let
you know that I have very recently placed a copy of a letter on the Internet
which strongly supports the zoning of land owned by my brother (Mr Gerald
Finnerty) in Lisnamult.
As you may already be aware the
letter in question, written by
Mr Eamon Collins BE CEng MIEI of

Collins Boyd Engineering Ltd., is very supportive of having the whole

	30 acre site included for
residential zoning in the forthcoming
Roscommon Town Development Plan.
A scanned copy of Mr
Collin's letter (dated September 7th 2007), which sets out his powerful, and as
I see it extremely good reasons in favour of zoning the site in question, can
now be viewed at the following Internet location:
http://www.lisnamult.com/CollinsBoydEngineering7September2007/Letter.htm . An additional thought that has crossed my
mind, which I hope you might all wish to consider as well, is that the growing
worldwide concerns relating to global warming seem likely (to me at least) to
result before too long in much improved rail services and infrastructure; and,
that being the case, the Lisnamult site, which is of course within easy walking
distance of a
county-town mainline railway station, might be ideal for
people who would like to commute to work from Roscommon to other towns on the
rail network (such as Athlone for example).
Yours
sincerely,
William Finnerty.
